Kansas City
I’d like to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs for their accomplishment of winning Super Bowl LIV. Unlike our current President the self proclaimed smartest person in any room he enters. I know Kansas City is in Missouri.
For those of you who think he should be forgiven this minor slip up, you need to be reminded how he brags about how smart he is an it is the bravado is what can not be forgiven. Making the mistake indicates just how false that bravado is.
Other Instances of Malfeasance
In recent months he has exonerated and held up for praise a war criminal, how can he not see that as problem? How can he can undermine his military commanders and still hold them and the service men they command accountable for their actions, when he praises wrong doing.
With Iran he has gotten out of an agreement and engaged in assignation. Does he expect Iran to stand down. He ignores brain injures our solders have sustained and considers them as minor and not even counting. All because he is the smartest person in the room.
Wisdom versus Intelligence.
For me, I consider wisdom to be knowing one’s limitations. Wisdom is much more important than straight intelligence because it includes analysis and insight gained from others. It includes common sense and a willingness to put yourself into situations of others. To be the smartest person in the room you must accept the insights of others.
I see little evidence that this President values opinions other than his own. To the contrary, he belittles opinions which differ from his own. While he encourages those who support him to confront friends and relatives who disagree with him with his talking points.
I find his talking points repugnant. They are filled with half truths and outright lies. While there is no proof that he is a Russian agent, his support of Kremlin conspiracy theories dilutes our democratic ideals and strengthens foreign powers. In short his policies, far from “Making America Great Again” it weakens our alliances and our country.
Conclusion
Is Donald Trump the smartest person in any room he enters? He certainly doesn’t know everything, he proves it on a regular basis. He would be wise to recognize this. Since it appears that he does not, he has little or no wisdom.
