Who know? But as a retiree and soon to be 70 I look back at more of my life than the future holds. The day COVID is in our past, I want to travel as soon as possible.

I look back at the years prior and wonder what I missed because I was too busy making a living. I have no regrets, just wonder.

I’ve enjoyed my life and for the most part my job. Did I settle for the mundane. Maybe but I found ways to make it fun for myself. I considered my life as a programmer as solving puzzles.

How can I provide what the user is asking? And once in the debugging phase, what do I know and how can I figure out to fix the problem. I enjoy puzzles. So my job became a series of puzzles, creating an environment which was fun and challenging. It was never boring.

For work. I’ve been able to visit Naples, Germany, Paris, and several places in Japan. I’ve also been to much of the United States. The trips were always mostly work, sleep with little or no time for sight seeing.

Over the years I’ve honeymoon in St Kitts, gone on a cruise, visited Disney on both costs. I’ve visited several Civil War battle fields, our nations capital, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburg, and Boston. The odd tourist trap during trips to and from.

I’ve lived in Rhode Island, the Boston area, upstate New York (visited many the finger lake vineyards), Memphis (done Elvis) and appreciated each location for what it had to offer.

So now I want to see the western US.

And life will go on. I leave the work to my young family and friends.
