Herschel Walker was a great football player.

He is not a honorable man. Reports indicate that he mistreats the women in his life and lies about his accomplishments. The only true attribute which makes him a viable candidate is the support of Donald Trump. As such this is a defacto referendum on Donald Trump. My first thought on this race is if Warnock wins big, maybe, just maybe we can put to rest the future of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.

If I were Mitch McConnell and other leading republicans that is exactly what I would want. Temporary republican control of the Senate is not important to what this country needs. The end of the MAGA movement is. This result would rid the Republican Party of their biggest headache. It would also depolitize the justice department effort to relocate Donald Trump to a federal penitentary for his retirement. Because make no mistake, that is exactly where he belongs.

Joe Biden often describes American as the land of opportunities. Our country is beset with a divisive discourse. A landslide victory for Warnock could lead to a more civil exchange of ideas. Wow, am I thinking great ideas.

I don’t think this will happen, but some big event which is not a tragedy is needed.

My hope and prayer is that this election could be that event. Neither side can truly declare a mandate from this election. To me, the results of this election shows that the majority are unwilling to support extreme candidates.

Across the country election deniers and Donald Trump boostered candidates lost.

In New York where democrats attempted to gerrymander democratic gains, the gerrlymandering failed dramatically. It is clear that extreme partisanship is not what the majority of this country wants. It must end. To me that is the true message of this election.

Will the politicians hear this message?

Would affirm that result. Donald Trump’s hold on the Republican party would loosen. Maybe just maybe this could lead to a more civil discourse between the parties.
