Joe Biden versus Donald Trump
Special Prosecutors Report
The main provocation in the report is a statement by the special prosecutor that Biden is “an elderly man with a poor memory”. Basically, prosecution isn’t warranted because Biden is a sympathetic old man who juries would like.
Wow, what a contrast.
The prosecutors decided to prosecute Donald Trump.
Joe Biden’s Accomplishments.
He cares about Americans and people in general, a practicing Catholic throughout his life. While as a politician he may slant the truth, for the most part he is honest and his word is to be believed. He learns from his mistakes.
In 2021 when Biden took office, the country was just beginning to come out of the pandemic. Millions of jobs had been lost and the economy was teetering on recession. Biden needed and got stimulus to create jobs. The long needed infrastructure package got passed. Jobs were created.
The cost of these jobs, plus the uptick in spending due to the stimulus was inflation. Prices soared. But the job market remained strong. The affects of Inflation are beginning to lessen. The overall economy continues to improve.
Immigration and The 2021 Election.
In the last couple of weeks, we can see the difference of these 2 men at play with immigration policy. A bipartisan agreement was negotiated in the Senate on the immigration policy. This agreement was much more conservative then what Democrats would normally consider, but yet the Democrats were willing to compromise.
Donald Trump was not. His interest lies in continuing the mess at the border. He had 4 years to address the crisis, but was unable in a republican control Congress to reach anything close to a deal. He started building his wall based on emergency funding. He borrowed funds from one budget to build his wall.
The compromise reached in the Senate provided funds to complete the wall. Biden would be required to finish it. Donald Trump’s main talking point for the election would be unavailable.
The Republican legislators chose not to pass the packaged based on Donald Trump’s objections. If Donald Trump and Republicans were truly interested in what is best for this country, they would support this legislation. But he and his Republican comrades are unable to provide Biden any kind of victory.
This is the sad state of American politics.
Donald Trump’s Attributes.
He is a bully and a liar. Not a stretch the truth type of lie, but a bold face refusal to accept the facts.
- Joe Biden won the election in 2020. Look no further then the partisan review which cost over $4 million dollars in Arizona, which “concluded with no findings of improprieties.” In the courts and in the recounts Donald Trump lost. He continues to claim he won the election.
- Donald Trump calls Jan 6, 2021 a peaceful demonstration. A peaceful demonstration In which multiple people lost their lives. Many watched the events unfold live on TV and yes he did say “peacefully and patriotically” in his speach. But actions should speak louder then words. He also set ideally by as the disruption at the Capital occurred. Also, egging the crowd on as it chanted “Hang Mike Pence”.
- The list goes on and on… but the best is out of Donald’s own mouth. “If you say it long enough, hard enough, often enough, people will start to believe it.“
Name calling is a form of bullying. He is the leader of the pack and only those who are loyal are welcome. Until they start seeing the error of their ways and confront him and then they are the worst.
The Mueller Report.
The “no collusion, no obstruction” summary is so far off base. The real conclusion in this report is undeniable. Russia used the internet to support Donald Trump’s election in 2016. The use of the internet by Russia continues today.
My question to Trump Supporters is simple. Why do you support a man Russia clandestinely supports? I’m an American with values aligned with Democratic principles. I believe if a separation of powers and civil discourse. This in my mind is “putting America First”. Slogans are only meaningful if backed by actions.
Dictator For A Day
I don’t want a dictator for a day, an hour, or a minute. If this country needs a wall and needs to “drill, drill, drill…” then get the votes in Congress.
When we elect a President, we elect an executive not a dictator. A lot of damage can be done to a democracy by a dictator in one day.
Indictments.
Are not a badge of honor. They are an accusation of wrong doing. Yes, in this country one is innocent until proven guilty, but the process of proving guilt has begun. We don’t need a president who denies all wrong doing for an event gone bad.
Who makes phone calls which pressure public officials to undo valid election results. To urge supporters to march to the Capital and be strong and then sits by while they invade the building. These are real indictments based on real events. If he is not convicted, it is not because he is without guilt. It will be because our standard for conviction is high.
My conclusion is that
Donald Trump is morally bankrupt.
Joe Biden in my opinion does not have dementia. The events we are talking about are in the past and all our memories are less sound over the years. But a choice between a person with limited mental acuity versus one who is morally bankrupt is simple. I’ll pick Joe Biden’s memory over Donald Trump’s morals all the time.
