COVID-19 is still here
Please wear a mask.
I’ve talked about this topic many times over the last 9 months. Yes, we have a vaccine, but for most of us the best defense we have against the coronavirus is a mask. Even after getting the vaccine the CDC is recommending continued mask usage.
The only one’s not supporting mask wearing are republicans and Trump supporters. I’ll say to you again.
It is not your right to infect me with COVID-19.
You have an obligation to protect those around you. Your friends and neighbors. While the death rate may only be around 1 or 2 percent of those infected, that means that each time you gather in a group of 20-25, if only one person has COVID, whether they are showing symptoms or not, they are putting the others at risk.
If you attend 10 such gatherings, then it is more than likely that multiple people will get COVID. If you get up to 100 infections, it is likely that someone will pass away.
You don’t have a right to shot another person. It makes sense that you don’t have the right to give another person COVID-19
Wearing a mask means covering you mouth and nose.
It is very seldom that I go out when I don’t see someone who is not covering their nose. Many people get around that by putting their mask so the tip of the nose is barely covered, and the nostrils are partially exposed.
While this may be better than uncovered, it still lives the possibility of the individual breathing in contaminated air or breathing out contaminated air.
Recently, I’ve seen people on their cellphones pulling their mask off while talking on the phone. This behavior puts us all at risk.
We are in this together.
It is not political, it is science. It took some time, but the scientific community has made it clear. Wearing a mask will save lives.
We all have a responsibility.
Wear a Mask.
Even in Florida we should wear a mask. Ron DeSantis is wrong, just like Donald Trump.
