Frederik Meijer Gardens & Scupture Park
Late Brunch at Morning Belle
The food was good. I had a Fried Egg Omelet with Mushroom, Spinach and Sausage. Other entrees include potatoes and fried eggs over easy and a Belgium waffle with a variety of fruit. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
We then went over to Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
A walk in the park
It was a beautiful day in the mid-70’s. The exhibits included a greenhouse path through a rain forest with several interesting plants and flowers. Sorry but I just enjoyed the company and the walk enough that I didn’t pay as much attention to the specifics.
The sculpture was magnificent. A large horse centered in the garden main entrance is the garden’s signature piece. It dwarves the area around. A shoed creature which indicates domestication. It stands tall and majestic.
None of the sculpture looked delicate.
Nearby was a 2nd horse was nearby. The construction appears to be odd pieces of lumber and driftwood. A simple construction which in truth is bronze. This horse stands with its head down in a field. I chose a picture of this horse as the lead for this entry.
Other pieces included a neuron and a simple man lying on his back. It was a delight to see all the artwork as we strolled through the gardens. The early spring afternoon made for a pleasant diversion from several days driving a car.
