Princeton is mostly black and Hispanic. https://worldpopulationreview.com/us-cities/princeton-fl-population. Historically this demographic has voted heavily Democratic. These delays are the predicted result of the planned downsizing of the USPS by the Trump administration. The presence of mail-in-ballots in this delayed mail, puts valid votes at risk.
A valid question is are there other places where this is a problem? How wide spread is it?
Trump says he will only lose the election if there is wide spread fraud. The truth is that Trump will only win if his voter suppression efforts are successful.
How is the vote suppressed?
Historically the vote is suppressed through a combination of means.
- Limiting polling stations in targeted locations. Locations which are unfavorable to those attempting to suppress the vote. In Louisville, KY recent primary elections there was only 1 open polling location for the entire city.
- Increased police patrols in and around the polling centers discourages minority voters. This works as a direct result of systemic racist polices in many of our law enforcement community.
- This year Donald Trump encourages armed supporters to watch Polling places. Included in these “poll watchers” are members of white supremist groups. Even in the westerns, citizens turned in their fire arms before town meetings.
Trump wishes to suppress the vote.
This is fraud; which is encouraged by Donald Trump’s rhetoric. It is occurring in an unprecedented number of locations and ways. He went as far as to suggest that his supporters test the system and try to vote twice in North Carolina.
