And then we wait
We can not stop now.
What 2016 showed us is that you can’t stop campaigning. You have to campaign right to the end.
Biden is in Georgia.
Harris is in Nevada.
Trump goes to Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska. Isn’t having Air Force 1 and the willingness to infect his supporters great?
The one given is that everyone needs to vote.
While Biden and Harris respect the virus. Trump continues to say it will just go away. We are rounding the corner.
This week the stock market struggles as the fears another big wave of coronavirus is upon us. The stock market is the measuring stick Trump uses to say he has built the strongest economy ever.
It appears that the economy has been dealt a blow by the virus. It was low unemployment which fueled increased wages. With unemployment again high, in all likelyhood wages will go down as people take less.
It must not go unnoticed, Donald Trump was given a growing economy. In the last 3 years of Obama/Biden, more jobs were created than in the first 3 years of Trump/Pence. So Trump’s booming economy was not all his doing.
Pandemic Planning
Obama left Donald Trump a pandemic playbook, which Trump chose to ignore. He was also left with a NSC department to track potential deadly diseases. This department, Donald Trump chose to jettison.
So while Donald Trump was telling us no one could have predicted COVID-19. The reason was because he chose not to look for it or plan for it.
I conclude that Donald Trump does easy.
He has little to no ability to do what is difficult. He can tear down Obama Care, but after 4 years of touting a new, wonderful healthcare system, he delivers a heavy book of empty meaningless pages to Leslie Stahl as his health care plan.
Donald Trump does easy. It is easy to say something is broken, but much more difficult to come up with a better plan.
It is easy to build a wall, but much more difficult to define a path to citizenship for young adults who have lived productive and peaceful lives in the United States since early childhood.
Donald Trump doesn’t do hard.
He doesn’t even have a platform, just his own hot air.
Joe Biden has plans.
He agrees he doesn’t have all the answers, but he puts plans in front of us. The plans present a vision of how to do healthcare, immigration reform, etc.
We may not agree with everything in Joe Biden’s plans, but he has provided a starting point. He is willing to work with the opposition to make things better.
We can not stop now.
We must vote and keep encouraging others to vote, until this election is over.
