Side effects

The side effects for dexamethasone include (From BBC News):

• Anxiety
• Altered Mood
• Cognitive Impairment

These are more common with prolonged use, rather than the short course that Mr. Trump is currently receiving.

Let’s assume for a minute Mr. Trump is experiencing side effects.

Is he exhibiting an altered mood. He is certainly at least as exuberant as he is normally, but it would be easy to envision his current state as more euphoric and drug induced. Some recent comments and actions to support this:

• For me having COVID is a gift from God. This is a man who holds up a bible but has difficulty naming his favorite quote. So now he has found God through COVID or wait God found him and blessed him with COVID.
• Then there is the stepping away from the stimulus negotiations, only to the very next day coming back in. Talk about mood swings and anxiety. Oops I made a mistake.
• Now there is the refusal to participate in a virtual debate. As soon as Trump does not show up virtually next week, if I were Joe Biden I would refuse to show up one week later. The only excused absence would be if Donald Trump is back in the hospital.

For a normal person this would be enough to deem him unstable and unable to govern.

But wait this is Donald Trump…

His list of irrational behavior is long, so it is impossible to determine that this is not normal…
