Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) Comments
So as Jody Hice suggests, let’s do some cherry picking.
First in your basket. Donald Trump did say “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” It came in the first quarter of his speech. There were no further expressions of peace in his speech.
Throughout his speech his remarks were inflamatory…
He used the phrase “stop the steal” twice. “stolen” three times. Donald Trump talks about the country being under siege and asks his supporters to be “bold” and “we fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” These are the terms of war.
He spent the 2 months from the November election railing about a stolen election. This mob was his. He invited these groups to Washington on January 6th even after violence was attributed to these same groups in Washington in December. Donald Trump needs to own the results.
Even this week…
Donald Trump continues to insist that the election was stolen and republicans, save Liz Chaney refuse to confront him. As such republicans are complicit to insurrection.
So I’ll go cherry picking Representative Hice.
On this subject, anyday, everyday. I’ll take my basket and compare it to yours.
My basket will be full of nice firm fruit ready for eating, making pies, and enjoying every way possible. Supported by the facts.
How about your basket?
Full of parsing words, hand picked quotes, and outright lies. Rotten fruit.
