In the Past, Present, and Future
Donald Trump is quick to point out other’s mistakes.
On this Easter, when Christians celebrate forgiveness of sins, maybe it is time to take stock of Donald Trump’s sins.
Starting with his tag line. Your Fired! Far from being forgiving, your fired basically says to me your useless or a danger. Over four years as President Donald Trump fired many people. The truth is it is an accomplishment few before him have accomplished. He fired an FBI director, several leading defense department officials, numerous inspector generals and cabinet officials.
After their dismissals Donald Trump found ways of questioning their judgement and intelligence. The self appointed judge, jury, and executioner, Donald Trump requires loyalty to his royal highness. He forgives no one.
COVID-19 will disappear from the news after the November Election.
Donald Trump was wrong.
Today’s CBS’s “Meet With the Press” asked questions in interviews about COVID-19 to almost everyone. Far from being over, the task of vaccinating all our citizens is in progress.
The end of the pandemic seems in sight, but I wonder if the family of the Alabama fan who returned from the sweet sixteen and elite eight only to pass away from COVID thinks this pandemic is over? This disease is hard to beat.
Donald Trump was wrong about masks. Republicans still question the need for masks. I’ve been vaccinated and am over a month out from my 2nd shot. I still wear a mask. This sets a good example. Donald Trump does not. He is wrong.
The Big Lie
Donald Trump did not win the election in 2020. He has driven this country to the brink of disaster. With each appearance he further divides us as he continues to insist he won the election.
Sidney Powell goes as far as saying that no reasonable person would believe that the Dominion machines miscounted ballots. This in response to a libel lawsuit against her from Dominion.
The attacks against the legitimacy of the election continue. Republican state legislatures have been quick to pass legislation to support claims. Much of which are targeted to suppress minority voting, by placing control of elections into partisan appointed commissions. How does this make elections more fair?
On this Easter Sunday…
Maybe it is time to review our Christian roots. Forgiveness is at its core. Recognizing our mistakes is required for forgiveness. I have yet to hear Donald Trump admit he is wrong about anything. We can not forgive him until he admits fault. I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
