No New Wars…
Trump claims no new wars during presidency
That is if you don’t count the war on the coronavirus. He declared war on the coronavirus in March. This link reports a declaration of war https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/03/19/a_changed_trump_declares_war_on_coronavirus_142705.html published on March 19th. Trump declared himself a wartime president.
Now 10 months and 400,000 deaths later, we know how Trump reacts to a war. He denies it’s serious nature and when it impacts the economy, the economy has priority over the health of the citizens of the United States.
And then January 6, 2021 happened.
Trump may not have started a new foreign war, but he has emboldened those in the United States who call for a new revolution. He has put our country onto the brink of war amongst ourselves.
Since then Trump’s only public messages decry the violence of the day. As with the coronavirus he takes no blame for the mob invasion of the Capital. Donald Trump is perfect in his own eyes.
Forgive me, but I as I watch the TV on that Wednesday, I remember thinking that there was a lack of police. During the Black Lives Matter protests, the National Guard was present from the beginning. I do not believe in looting or destruction of property which occurred during the protests. The perpetrators need to be prosecuted.
And now January 20th is upon us.
Trump continues to not recognize Joe Biden as the next president of our beloved country. As with any sore loser, he expects a celebration as he sneaks out of the White House.
I’m hoping he doesn’t stop long enough for the door to hit him on the way out. Then I hope the Senate finalizes the impeachment, with a conviction and a vote prohibiting from holding public office in the future.
The countries reaction in the years to come must be to listen closely to those running for office. Those who wish to run on Trump’s agenda must be defeated. We can not allow this to continue.
I hope this is my last blog entry talking about Donald Trump.
From here on I want to talk about the future. The divide in our country is real. We must get beyond petty differences and work for the common good.
Tomorrow Joe Biden and Kamala Harris take the oath of office tomorrow. We can again believe the words of our president. Will he make mistakes? Yes. But he will learn and move on.
