Thoughts on a mad man…
Why?
I read a slightly edited and found in the Washington Post. The edit included removing a name, to protect a person not on the call and removing Donald Trump expletives.
My conclusion is that Donald Trump is insane and not of right mind. Donald Trump’s father had a form of dementia. It runs in his family. So does Donald Trump show signs of dementia?
He repeats himself often…
In the transcript of his hour long diatribe, he repeats the same arguments at least 3 times. It is hard to know with Donald Trump if this is a sign of short term memory loss, or an attempt to convince himself that his argument is true. Does he actually believe what he is saying?
Or maybe he just figures if he says something enough times, others will believe it to be true. In my opinion Donald Trump lost the election, because a majority of the voters, no longer believe what he says.
The quote “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.” In this case Donald Trump can’t believe enough citizens decided not to be fooled a second time.
My favorite definition from Ambrose Bierce, The Unabridged Devil’s Dictionary is. “Positive, adj.: MIstaken at the top of one’s voice.” Repetition is also a form a yelling.
The President dominates the phone call.
Before the call, he has predetermined the result he wants. He wants the Secretary of State of Georgia, to reopen a certified election result. As such he bullies the office of the Secretary of State of Georgia.
He tells them when they deny his charges of fraud, that they are wrong. He says the people of Georgia are angry. On that count, he is right. Many of his followers believe his lies and our angry.
But the majority of Georgia voters in the last election find his actions deplorable. They just want him to go away and accept the results. In this case there is a mostly silent majority.
He offers proof of his “win”
Donald Trump claims the size of his rallies as proof that he could not lose. He never mentions, that the opposition purposely, held small rallies often in drive-in type locations. This was by design to help prevent the spread of the pandemic.
A pandemic which he claims is under control, while on the average each day more than 2,500 individuals pass away from this disease. If that is control Donald Trump, it scares me what you would define as failure.
Secretary of State of Georgia responds.
Each time the Secretary of State of Georgia quite rightly told Donald Trump. “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is the data you have is wrong.” Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his staff repeat this type of denial..
To put this in prospective.
None other than Attorney General William Barr was unable to find evidence of large-scale voter or election fraud. The only one’s spewing this garbage or Donald Trump and his paid for legal team.
The next 2 weeks worry me.
Donald Trump will stop at nothing to remain in power. Dementia? I believe the answer is YES. If I’m mistaken, it will be at the top of my voice.
